Welcome

Welcome to Spartan Country

Happy New Year!  We are excited to launch our new website!  As you know, PUHSD, including Camelback High School, lost its website this summer and has spent the past semester rebuilding its contents.  We appreciate your support and patience as we get our website back up and running.  We will continue to upload content, both new and old, to ensure that our site is an efficient means of communication for staff, students, parents, & community.  Our staff and students have rallied behind this unified commitment to building competitive graduates who have the competency and capability of succeeding in college, career, and life after high school.

Our School of Game Design, Engineering, Architecture, Robotics, Sustainability (GEARS) has continued to flourish.  Our new night school, Camelback Virtual School, has enabled us to recruit and retain students who benefit from online learning in a "blended" model.  Advisory continues to have a dramatic impact on campus climate.  Students involvement is at an all-time high.  Clubs offerings have increased and our sports programs are experience great success.

Academically, we continue to focus on improving our curriculum, instruction, and course offerings.  We have doubled our AP offerings (from 7 to 14).  We have implemented the ACT Quality Core standards into all of our courses to ensure rigor at all levels.  We officially became a nationally certified AVID school.

These represent just some of the many initiatives on campus.  Through the support of local community organizations, especially Social Venture Partners and the Camelback Alumni Association, we will continue to maximize our resources and improve our academics, athletics, and activities.  Please read through our website to learn more about the many amazing things happening at CBHS!

This has been an exciting year at Camelback High School, with the adoption of our new mission statement, A Unified Community Dedicated to Building Graduates Worthy of the Spartan S.H.I.E.L.D.
